To the citizens to Montgomery County,

Very soon you will be voting to replace retiring Sheriff Matt Schoo. Your decision on who you vote into office will be one that will influence the quality of your law enforcement and therefore your quality of life in general. It is not a decision to be taken lightly. This is why it is important to choose a Sheriff that has had an admirable record of service to Montgomery County as well as the knowledge of the county and a favorable experience in the many unique facets of keeping the peace in the county.

I first met Major Craig Allison in 1995, when I was appointed as Chief of Police for the City of Jonesburg. Craig was a Deputy Sheriff at that time. During my tenure with Jonesburg I had the opportunity to work with Craig many times each month. In all the time I was working with or around Craig he conducted himself with the utmost in professionalism. He has always taken the time to do due diligence on the scores of cases he has worked and has been fair and honest while enforcing the laws of Montgomery County and the State of Missouri.

When I left Jonesburg I went on to work at the Missouri State Technical Assistance Team, a unit that assists other law enforcement agencies in the investigation of crimes against children. This afforded me the opportunity to work with Craig in a different capacity, as I to observed and assisted with these difficult cases. Again Craig used his skills and knowledge to investigate these crimes in an expedient and professional manner. He has always been one of the Deputies with which I was glad to have on the scene while working a case.
 

Craig’s dedication and expertise earned him promotions through the ranks at the Sheriff’s Department from Deputy all the way up to Chief Deputy. It is obvious that the prior  administrations also recognized the qualities in Craig that make for an excellent law enforcement officer and leader.
 

For the reasons outlined above, I whole heartedly recommend Major Craig Allison for the next Sheriff of Montgomery County. I don’t believe you could make a better choice.
